Numanthia-Termes was founded by the Eguren family of Spain in 1998. It is located in the Toro region of Spain. The 100-acre estate had its debut vintage in 2000. Numanthia-Termes quickly earned a reputation for outstanding reds, especially its flagship wine, Termanthia. In 2008 the estate was bought by Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, which also owns Chateau d’Yquem and Krug, among other luxury wine estates.

Termanthia 2014 is an authentic, polished diamond. With limited production, it is the ultimate expression of the best of Toro's vineyards: 4.78 hectares of vines, up to 150 years old, near the municipality of Argujillo. Transforming these grapes into wine is a type of high-quality craftsmanship. The hyper-concentration of the fruit produces considerable aromatic complexity and shows a tremendous power in the palate with a roundness full of freshness.

The Penín Guide gives this magnificent wine a grade of 97/100, while the critic Robert Parker gives it a score of 94/100.

This fabulous wine will be ideal to accompany large meats, game, mountain rice, stews, and grilled meats. The winery also recommends a surprising pairing with bread, chocolate, oil, and allspice.

The bottle has been preserved horizontally in a cellar cabinet heated to 13 degrees.
