Sans aucun doute, Tous  les collectionneurs de dessins originaux  seraient très fiers de mettre en place d’honneur dans leur  bibliothèque un « Strip » ou une « planche Originale » de cet album remarquable dessiné par Hugo Pratt en 1981: « La Jeunesse de Corto Maltese ».

Comme les dessins originaux de cet album sont rares sur le marché, très peu de collectionneurs se sont rendus compte de la toute grande taille de ces Strips, pour lesquels chaque case fait 15 cm x 15 cm et donc plus de 45 cm x15 cm pour un strip entier, ce qui rend les  encadrement très specatculaires.

Cet album est très très connu aussi bien en Italie que dans le monde francophone pour les raisons suivantes :

- prépublication par Strip individuels  en 1982 en Italie  ( revue L’internauta: La Gionivezza ) et en France en 1981 ( Le Matin  de Paris) et 1982 ( A Suivre ,Casterman).

- nombreuses publications en albums et rééditions noir et blanc +Couleurs, dont des illustrations retrouvées sur internet sont présentées comme documentation dans ce lot.

- rencontre exceptionnelle de Corto Maltese,de Raspoutine et de Jack London pour faire un trio mythique dans toute l’histoire de la Bd Européenne,uniquement dans cet Album. 

Ce strip est bien évocateur de cette fameuse première  guerre russo- japonaise de 1904-1905  et ,surtout de cette ambiance ambivalente de fin de guerre qui commence dès la première planche de ce récit ,avec Raspoutine qui tue un soldat japonais alors que la fin de la guerre est annoncée, et va servir de trame à tout le récit...

Hugo Pratt a eu l'intelligence de mélanger des personnages de fiction, comme Corto Maltese,.... avec d’autres  personnages plus ancrés dans la réalité , comme Jack London ,L'américain...et le Russe Raspoutine.

De plus,dans ce Strip tout à fait remarquable,Hugo Pratt se fait plaisir...nous fait plaisir .. en présentant RASPOUTINE qui tire sur un officier ,ce qui sera la trame de tout le récit.

CHAQUE CASE EST REMARQUABLE ET POURRAIT FAIRE L’OBJET D’UNE SÉRIGRAPHIE INDIVIDUELLE ...

Que faut il de plus pour rehausser une très belle collection de dessins originaux avec cette « MASTERPIECE » de Hugo PRATT...

A noter efin la présence des onomatopées « BANG ….CRACK… » en écriture « HugoPrattesque » (comme les coups de canon  Ou de fusils dans cet album), et qui permettent très habilement d’unir ce Strip  magistral en réalisant la la jonction graphique entre les deux cases extrêmes .

Strip de Grand Format, textes originaux en Italien avec écriture originale de Pratt au crayon , non gommée,ce qui est un « petit Miracle », alors  que ce strip est paru plusieurs fois en français dans des Livres  différents (voir illustrations du détail de parutions successives). 

Ce lot très décoratif est très attractif pour un collectionneur italien ou français.Il sera du plus  bel effet lorsqu’il aura reçu un très bel encadrement qui rehaussera le prestige d’une grande collection.
