La macchina ha un solido corpo in ferro battuto, in ottime condizioni. Presenta inoltre degli sportelli laterali e posteriori attraverso le quali si può apprezzare il complesso meccanismo. Questa esclusiva macchina da scrivere Olivetti è un classico degli oggetti d'antiquariato per ufficio del 20° secolo. È un pezzo ideale per arredare un soggiorno o lo studio di un professionista.

L'azienda Olivetti è stata fondata ad Ivrea (Italia) nel 1908 da Camilo Olivetti, come la "prima fabbrica di macchine da scrivere". Il primo modello lanciato dall'azienda fu la M1, che venne presentata all'Esposizione Universale di Torino nel 1911. La macchina ebbe un grande successo e l'azienda iniziò a crescere e a diffondersi in altri paesi.
