Roman iron knife with bronze decorated handle with a terminal in the shape of a Legionary Eagle.

The eagle was a powerful symbol to the Roman military. With each Roman legion a special eagle-bearer (aquilifer) had the honor of carrying the Legionary Eagle standard into battle and to guard its existence. 

Total length: ±  12.7 cm

Good solid condition. Signs of wear consistent with age and use. See images.
