Barbaresco owes a lot to Angelo Gaja. Although innovative and against the tide, with his Barbaresco Angelo Gaja gave visibility to a denomination that had been overshadowed by Barolo for too long. Thanks to Angelo Gaja, Barbaresco is no longer Barolo's younger brother, but a wine with equal dignity. Barbaresco di Gaja is not only a great Piedmontese wine but a symbol, a label that has made history.

The 2016 vintage was a great year in the Langhe, which allowed the Nebbiolo to ripen perfectly and give life to elegant and long-lasting wines.

It is produced with Nebbiolo grapes selected from different vineyards. Fermentation takes place in steel vats at a controlled temperature and aging takes place in barriques and large barrels.

Colour: bright garnet red.
Bouquet: rose petals, raspberry, cherry, currant, licorice, vanilla, balsamic hints.
Taste: structured, dynamic, soft tannins, tasty and persistent.
