The true Macintosh Apple enthusiast can supplement his collection with a legendary collector's item: "the very first white iBook" (with opaque white casing), which Apple introduced in 2001. That is "more-than-20 years ago"! So you are bidding on a TIME machine.

The iBook G3/500 (Dual USB - Translucent White) is quite different compared to the iBook models that preceded it. The "Dual USB" model includes two USB ports – as one would expect given its informal name – but also is equipped with a faster processor, faster memory, superior graphics, VGA out, an internal microphone, a higher resolution display, stereo speakers, and the option of more capable optical drives. It also uses a substantially smaller and more conservatively clad "translucent white" case compared to the more outlandishly colored cases previously offered

On a technical level, this entire computer is "disassembled, cleaned, checked and assembled again". The computer has been cleaned inside & outside (dust-free). The keyboard also been completely disassembled and professionally cleaned. 

This 100 % working, professionally checked “Vintage” bundle includes "tons of pre-installed software*" – like the expensive "Adobe Design Collection" and the "Microsoft Office 2001" suite – ready to use and give you a glimp of the past! Including software:

// IMPORTANT – WHY BUY FROM ME?

I am a Mac user from way back in the Legacy Era. I offer Vintage Apple computers as I would buy them myself. My admiration for Steve Jobs' legacy is so great that I want the Macs I sell, to stand "the test of time". Furthermore I only sell items I have "passion" for. 

– Hardware-wise, all my sold computers are completely disassembled, cleaned – and, if necessary, repaired – in order to extend their lifespan. See pictures.

// IMPORTANT NOTES
This iBook works as it should (extensively tested!). 

– The CD-ROM reads CD’s and includes the bezel. Moreover, the EJECT key (keyboard) works like a charm (in lots of old iBooks the CD and EJECT button doesn't function anymore). 

– the keyboard is responsive (no missing "Chicklets"); 

– the 12.1″ TFT XGA active matrix display (1024×768 native resolution) is still crystal clear (no dead pixels);

– the speaker is loud and clear;

– all (connection) ports work;

– the iBook comes with charger/adapter;

– the entire "interior" of the transparent plastic has been professionally cleaned so that it is dust-free and looks brand-new!;

FYI:
– The battery doesn’t hold a charge anymore (after 22 years)*. 
But still today you can order "a replace battery" for this iBook. 

PS/ iBooks that holds charge after all this time don't exist*!

// SOME MINOR FLAWS

– the track-pad is not so "smooth" anymore (after all these years). 
Therefore a "Apple Mighty Mouse" (model A1152) Wired USB is offered "FOR FREE" with this bundle.

– one of the charger hooks (to wind up the cable) is loose. 
But that does not hinder the proper functioning) = only a minor aesthetic flaw.

// NOTES ON AESTHETICS

There is NOT a single plastic crack (except the tiny "hairline crack" > see detailed picture). iBooks often have several cracks (and often plastic parts are missing). This iBook doesn't miss parts! Long-story-short: you won't find any iBook in such a good condition!

//RETRO-COMPUTING EXPECTATIONS

– there are "normal signs of use" (which are to be expected with a device of this age). But as an experienced connoisseur I can guarantee that these items are very good to excellent condition! There is NO discoloration and – except for one tiny hairline crack (under the FN button, see picture) – there are NO cracks in the plastics (= rare). 

View the numerous images to make your own judgment! PS/ some tiny scratches (and other ware-out) are difficult to capture on picture (but they are there … thus: please have realistic expectations!). 

– be aware that the mechanics of 20 years ago make more noice (compared to modern computers)! Don't buy this mac if you think that will bother you. Please also have realistic expectations about "speed, etc"! This is a vintage computer (collectable).

// MAC OS 9: SOME LOVE FOR THE CLASSICS !
Long before the current "macOS" or even before any of the OS X systems, there was Mac OS 9. While not as aesthetically pleasing compared to current day operating systems, Mac OS 9 was sleek, super responsive and a joy to use. In fact. It still is!

This iMac comes with a clean install of "System 9.2.2". 
Thus: "plug-and-play"!

There are "normal signs of use" (e.g. very tiny scratches and stains … which are to be expected with a device of this age). But as an experienced connoisseur I can guarantee that these items are in EXCELLENT condition! View the numerous images to make your own judgment!

This Vintage Apple iBook G3 is in Great Working Condition! Perfect for any Retro computing or Apple enthusiast or vintage tech collectors (Non-collectors, this is not a modern computer and cannot do what a recent computer can do). The case has some wear on it – but is in good condition for a computer this age.
