Splendid handcrafted Bohemian crystal vase Ludwig Moser  brand ,Karlovy Vary.
Made in the 50s, design by Josef Hoffmann,  this  elegant piece is faceted  with eight faces Hand carved and polished to achieve a unique shine.
With stamp signature of authenticity to underside. 

Moser, located in the Bohemian region, is known worldwide as the 'Crystal of the Kings', because its collections are used in great celebrations of royalty and numerous palaces in the world.

In 1857, Ludwig Moser founded an engraving business and retail store in Karlovy Vary. By around 1873, there were branches in New York, London, Paris and Saint Petersburg. In 1893, he opened his own glass factory. His products became a huge success.
In 1901, he was awarded the Order of the Lion and the Sun third class, and was appointed Purveyor to the Persian Court, in 1904 Purveyor to the Imperial and Royal Court and in 1908, Purveyor to the Court of King Edward VII. In 1915, service 11660 was made for King Alfonso XIII of Spain. In 1916, Leo Moser succeeded him as director general and artistic director.
With the German invasion of Czechoslovakia, the factory was ‘Aryanised’ and renamed ‘Glasmanufaktur Karlsbad AG’. In 1945, the company was completely nationalized by the Communists.
In 1947, President Edvard Benes gave the splendid 10160 service as a wedding gift to Princess Elizabeth. In 1957, in celebration of its 100th anniversary, the Maria Theresa 801 glass bowl was produced.
Following reunification, the company was made a public limited company in 1991.

Josef Hoffmann (Pirnitz 1870 – 1956 Vienna) – was an Austrian architect and designer. He was among the founders of Vienna Secession and co-establisher of the Wiener Werkstätte. His most famous architectural work is the Palais Stoclet, in Brussels, (1905–1911) a pioneering work of Modern Architecture, Art Deco and peak of Vienna Secession architecture.
