This Land Rover 88 Series 3 was produced in 1981 in the very rare original Masai Red colour and delivered new in Italy. The very rare plate is from the province of ORISTANO, Sardinia, as it was only created in 1974. The black plates of this province were therefore only issued for a few years. In addition, the dry climate has made it possible to keep the car in a very solid condition.

The bodywork has been fully restored and repainted in the original colour in 2018-2019 and has just been polished, it is in beautiful and resplendent condition, with just a few minor imperfections.

The engine is original and its identification code is 366 as per the booklet, it has just been overhauled with namely the replacement of the oil filter, a complete fuel check and a technical control has just been passed in January 2023 valid until January 2025: the car is roadworthy. 

It is equipped with the Overdrive option (when engaged in 4th gear, it allows a longer gear, like 5th) and the Free Wheel Hubs kit which allows the car to run in 2x4 mode to reduce fuel consumption while increasing speed.

The interior has been fully restored with a complete new set of front seats, new bespoke carpeting to the rear and front, new Land Rover rubber mats, new rear seats and many other details. The dashboard is original and in good condition.

The underbody is solid, in its original condition, with normal wear and tear and is ready to drive; the chassis is also very solid.

The original jack is present.

The colour is extremely rare on this series, and on a specimen with matching numbers, this is an excellent investment.
