This Philips dates from 1938 and is known for its unique mono knob controls. It's been authentically restored where necessary and the worn out front cloth (no longer available) has been replaced by a matching new one. Its large speaker gives this radio a nice, full-bodied sound.
The case plug and the cord with mains plug are also original. This radio has 7 (!) tuned AM circuits, resulting in high sensitivity and selectivity. At the time the price was FL 167.50 
The device has 3 bands, these being LG, MG and KG. It also has an optical tuning indicator (nearly exhausted) and tape indication, and also an illuminated station pointer. It also boasts fine-tuning, sound controls and an input for a pick-up an an extra (low ohm) speaker. Copy of the service manual is included. Tube configuration (8) is: EF8, EK2, EF9, EAB1, EM1, EF6, EL3 and AZ1. The device works well and plays on all bands. The lacquered wooden case is in good condition with some light signs of wear and damages. Sizes: 545x375 (closed) x260 mm. Weighs circa 15 kg. Pick-up is preferred in Amersfoort. Shipping will be done via registered mail.


Sits inside an undamaged wooden case with a raisable bakelite station scale. Complete with original Philips mono knob controls, logo and back panel.
