Very large 1:8 Lotus 72 model with display case (Emerson Fittipaldi)
The Lotus 72 is seen by many to be the most revolutional and iconic Formula One car of the 1970s. Colin Chapman’s revolutionary idea’s and design and him moving the radiator from the front of the car to a pair in sidepods allowed a sweeping change in the looks, handling and ability of Formula One cars. Firstly in Gold Leaf colours and then in the stunning black and gold of John Player Special, the Lotus 72 became the class of the field.

Powered by a just as legendary engine - the Ford Cosworth DFV 3.0 V8 and with the superb handling it just left the rest of the field behind. This chassis – identity number 7 (of 9) - was raced in 1972 by the soon to be World Champion Emerson Fittipaldi.

You can see in the separate photos that this amazing hand build model has incredible detail from the metal monocoque chassis right up, through the suspension and engine components to the incredibly detailed cockpit. All logos are faithfully recreated and with real rubber tyres this impressive 1:8 model will become the star of any collection of Formula One, motorsport heroes, famous cars, or pieces of art.

This very limited F1 car is made to be admired in every detail and will be a wonderful display case in every collection, home, office or Man cave.

The finished model measures out at an incredible 523mm long, the display case measures 70 x 37 x 24 cm
