Introducing the world to the skilfully painted works of Willem Kroon. These works of art are extremely striking and always have a typical Dutch landscape with a beautiful ominous cloud cover, the beautiful light with the water glare leaves an enchantment.

Willem Kroon was a gifted painter, a kind of grand master of the 20th century, his paintings certainly stand out above the rest.

Biography 

Willem Kroon was born on November 8, 1946 in Utrecht. Willem Kroon studied the Vrije Academie in `s-Gravenhage (1965-1966).

After many jobs, Willem Kroon ended up as a technical employee on an American oil rig in the North Sea, where he was hit by a serious accident. In the rehabilitation center in Heerenveen he again fell under the spell of painting, first as occupational therapy and increasingly also as fulfillment of his day job. After his recovery, he significantly improved the quality of his work through drawing and a lot of outdoor painting.
 
The well-known Makkum pottery and the Frisian clocks also had his interest for some time, but he felt this was too much of a decoration and could not express his own will to create. The oil paint changed this and Willem Kroon had a strong future ahead of him as a painter. Unfortunately, Willem Kroon died prematurely in 2001 due to illness.
