Exquisite Wallendorf figurine originally named “Eisläuferin”/ “Ice Skater” as titled in “Modell Buch Wallendorf “, created by the famous artist Kurt Steiner, in excellent condition.

It depicts a beautiful Ice Skater female while down pirouetting with largely spread arms, in a grand finale attitude act, designed by Kurt Steiner (1904 - 1970), the famous German modeler and designer since the early 1930s, who influenced Thuringian ornamental porcelain for decades.

She is dressed in a short ballet white dress with touches of light green, upper parts of the dress spectacular painted to reveal transparency of it with delicate dots spread in group of four, while her skates with green stripes, are completed by golden blades.

Wallendorf Porcelain factory has been in operation since 1764, being one of the oldest porcelain trademarks in Germany.

Marked on the base with crowned W 1764 in green, impressed numbered #1663, 1st quality marked, beautifully sculpted and glazed, it is in excellent condition, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of description.
