Spanish-Filipino religious carvings in mammoth ivory from the 18th century are religious works of art that were created in the Philippines during the Spanish colonial era, specifically in the 18th century.  These carvings are made of mammoth ivory or bone 
During the Spanish colonisation in the Philippines, an intense cultural exchange was established between the native Filipinos and the Spanish colonisers. The Spanish influence was reflected in many aspects of Philippines life, including religion and art.  Religious carvings, such as representations of saints and virgins, were very popular in this period and became an important part of Catholic devotion in the Philippines.
The use of bone or mammoth ivory to create these religious carvings is interesting and unique.
These religious carvings are prized for their artistic quality and their religious significance.  Many of them show a Spanish stylistic influence, but also incorporate elements of Filipino culture. They are considered important objects of cultural and religious heritage both in the Philippines and in other parts of the world.
A CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) certificate is not required in Europe for objects made bone or mammoth ivory. The CITES Convention is primarily concerned with regulating trade in endangered species of living flora and fauna, as well as their parts and derivative products.
Mammoth ivory is considered legal in many countries, as mammoths are extinct animals and are not protected by CITES.
