Compas de navigation sur fût Kelvin & Hugues. Il s’agit du modèle portant de référence 72956.
Ce compas installé auparavant à la passerelle des navires est complet.
Il comprend:

- ses 2 sphères en fer doux (rouge et verte) montées sur des supports en laiton gradués et destinées à compenser les champs magnétiques horizontaux;
- un tube de Flinders vertical sur la partie arrière destiné à recevoir des cylindres de fer doux et de bois pour compenser les champs magnétiques verticaux;
- de chaque côté du fût, derrière 2 petites portes, 2 séries de 20 trous destinés à recevoir des barreaux aimantés (quelques éléments présents) pour compenser les champs magnétiques permanents du navire.

Ce modèle dispose aussi d’un clinomètre permettant d’indiquer en degré de combien le navire gîte. Il s’agit probablement donc d’un modèle destiné à des yachts de luxe.
