Cette lithographie est dessinée d’après nature par l’artiste N.H Jacob elle porte la mention Imprimée par Lemercier et est issu d’un traité d’anatomie .

Nicolas-Henri Jacob, (Paris 1782 )- est peintre, dessinateur . Il a joué un rôle pionnier dans l'art de la lithographie et l'a imposée comme un auxiliaire précieux de l'édition scientifique.

L’imprimerie Lemercier est l'une des plus importantes imprimerie spécialisée dans la lithographie parisienne du xixe siècle qui a imprimé pour les plus grands éditeurs et artistes de son temps.
