Fossil. Ein Abelisaurus-Dinosaurierzahn.

Fossil: Dieser gut erhaltene Zahn stammt von einem Theropoden aus der Gruppe der Abelisaurier, einer Gruppe fleischfressender Dinosaurier. Diese waren an ihren extrem kleinen Vorderbeinen, kurzen, tiefen Gesichtern, kleinen scharfen Zähnen und kräftigen muskulösen Hinterbeinen zu erkennen.

Dieser Zahn stammt von einem noch unbeschriebenen Abelisaurierart aus den Kem Kem Betten von Marokko. 

Bisher wurden vermutlich nur zwei Abelisaurierarten in Marokkos Kem-Kem-Betten gefunden. Ein Abelisaurier (Rugops primus) wurde nach der Echkar-Formation von Niger benannt.

Dieser Zahn ist an beiden Rändern mit sehr scharfer feiner Einkerbung.
