Deutsche Dampflokomotiven baureihen 41-53 aus den Lokomotivbild-Archiv Carl Bellingrodt

Collectie van 52 originele fotokaarten, uitgegeven door het Lokomotivbild-Archiv Carl Bellingrodt te Wuppertal.
Carl Bellingrodt is een van, zo niet de bekendste Eisenbahn / spoorwegfotograaf in Duitsland, gedurende de jaren '20 t/m de jaren '60. Bellingrodt was beroepsfotograaf en was als zodanig in dienst van de toenmalige Deutsche Reichsbahn, DRG. Hij reisde met z'n camera per trein of auto door het hele (toen veel grotere) Deutsche Reich en had als beambte vrij toegang tot locomotievendepots en andere spoorweginfrastructuur.
Bellingrodt is niet alleen bekend van de vele duizenden 'statische' (deels profiel) opnamen van honderden typen stoomlocomotieven, maar ook van zijn opnamen van 'treinen in hun landschappelijke omgeving'. Zo maakte hij o.a. ook opnamen ten behoeve van de jaarlijkse Reichsbahn kalender. Na de oorlog heeft hij zijn fotografie-activiteiten op en langs het spoor voortgezet in West Duitsland tot in de jaren '60. En vele opnamen gemaakt van de vroege Deutsche Bundesbahn DB. Na zijn dood zijn vele prachtige fotoboeken verschenen met zijn fotografische nalatenschap.

Bellingrodt beheerde in zijn woonplaats Wuppertal ook het Lokomotivbild-Archiv, waarin ook opnamen van andere bekende fotografen waren ondergebracht, zoals van Werner Hubert en Herman Maey. In de jaren '40 t/m '60 toen er voor geïnteresseerden en liefhebbers van treinen en locomotieven nog nauwelijks literatuur verkrijgbaar was, konden bij dit Archiv fotokaarten worden besteld.

Deze collectie omvat 52 opnamen van Duitse stoomlocomotieven van baureihen 41-53, deels uit de Reichsbahntijd of voorlopers van de Reichsbahn, deels van Duitse particuliere maatschappijen in de vorige eeuw. De kaarten komen uit een particulier verzamelalbum, zijn aan de achterzijde met potlood voorzien van (technische) gegevens, en een volgnummer met pen (zie de laatste foto's). Bij een aantal ook resten van een plakkertje.

Al met al een bijzondere collectie die degelijk verpakt aangetekend wordt verzonden.
