Der Künstler Andreas Junge wurde 1959 in Wuppertal geboren und ist 2009 dort auch verstorben. 

Er studierte von 1984 bis 1992 an der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf und war einer der ersten Meisterschüler bei A.R. Penck.

1991, von der Heydt Förderpreis der Stadt Wuppertal 
1991 erhielt er den Von der Heydt-Förderpreis der Stadt Wuppertal.

Zahlreiche Einzelausstellungen und regelmässige Teilnahme an Gruppenausstellungen in ganz Europa. 

Andreas Junge hatte ein unglaublich authentisches, kraftvolles, vielfältiges und innovatives Werk hinterlassen; extrem, wütend, liebevoll, kraftvoll sowie widersprüchlich wie sein Leben. Er starb 2009 im Alter von nur 50 Jahren.
