A special East-Java keris and a not so special Madura keris. The Javanese keris has a warangka of the Gayaman type and a sheath made from Timoho pelet wood. The Jave blade has description and a men under a tree at the end of the blade, its on both sides. If you hold it upside down you see two woman making sembayang. The Madura has some nice carving work but doesn't fit completely in the sheath and the blade is a little rusty see it as a nice free extra. Both are 45cm.
Sold by Roland Smeets, Balinese woodcarving collector and seller of Balinese antique & quality woodcarvings, expert and author of the book Understanding Balinese Woodcarvings which reveals the tales and stories behind the statues.
