An extremely important openwork basket with natural elements and floral motifs made by Andrew Fogelberg.
This silversmith, active in England but originally from Scandinavia, was one of the most influential silversmiths of the Georgian period as well as Paul Storr's Master. 
Paul Storr, Royal silversmith to King George III and George IV, learnt from him the highest quality workmanship and elegance of the Neoclassical style which he would later formulate into his own stylistic vocabulary culminating in the English Regency style.
Pieces made by Andrew Fogelberg can be admired in the most prestigious museums and private collections worldwide.
