ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This is an auction of a piece of the history of the Apple iPod: a unit of the second generation of iPod nano, in silver color, model A1199, still sealed in its genuine and never opened box.

The iPod nano 2G was announced to the world by Steve Jobs in the Apple Showtime Event of September 2006. This unit was sold three months later, in December 2006, according to its serial number YM650LM3VQ6. You can view Steve Jobs introducing the iPod nano 2G on this YouTue video:

This unit is also very special because it was personalized in the factory of Apple in 2006. If you bought the iPod nano from the Apple Online Store, you could order a laser engraving service of a custom message written on the rear surface of the iPod, that in this case was made of anodized aluminum. The majority of 2GB silver units of the iPod nano 2G were of the model MA477LL/A. This one is PA477LL/A because it is a one-off personalized unit. Nobody knows which message was engraved on it in December 2006, ordered by the original customer. This is an interesting mystery that makes this unit more special!

Now, 17 years later from the release of the iPod nano 2G, you have the chance of bidding for this completely new unit, still in its sealed and never opened box. It is a vintage electronics collectible, very hard to find, specially if it is a personalized unit like this. Good luck in the auction!

IMPORTANT NOTE:

The Apple iPods of this era were packed in methacrylate cases, and sealed with transparent seals on the top and bottom faces of the case, as you can see in the pictures of this unit. The top seal of these cases had a grey arrow that you had to pull to open the iPod when you bought it. Sometimes, this grey arrow was applied by the Apple factory slightly out of the case dimensions. This unit of iPod nano is one of these case, Apple put the grey arrow a little out of the case, so with the years the arrow has been slightly lifted in that corner due to be stored in a box, but the seal has never pulled and opened. If you examine the pictures of the top face of the case with detail, you can check that the seal has never been opened, confirming that this iPod nano 2G from 2006 is completely new and sealed.

This item is located in Canary Islands, that is not part of the European Union, so the shipments can be delayed and the packets can be charged with import duties when they arrive to the destination countries. This seller is not responsible for these import duties, due to they have to be paid by the buyer.

ITEM CONDITIONS:

Completely new, never used, in its original sealed and never opened box. Due to the long age of this electronic device, no warranty is offered on it and its battery, and returns are not accepted.
