An amazing fossil slab with a Pecten fossil specimen popping out of the matrix, creating a sort of natural modern art sculpture.
The Luberon pecten, also known as the scallop, is an iconic fossil from the Luberon Regional Natural Park region in France. These fossil shells, reminiscent of delicious scallops, have a fascinating geological history.
Pectens were once marine bivalve mollusks that lived in warm, shallow seas. Over time, these shells fossilized and were preserved in the rocks of the Luberon. They are often found in limestones and sediments dating from the Cretaceous geological era.

To highlight its beauty and display it elegantly, a pearl blue granite base was crafted.
