Mooi beeld in veelkleurig bisque porselein van Sint Elooi of Eligius van Noyon (ca 590-660), hier afgebeeld als bisschop. Het aambeeld met hamer verwijst ernaar dat hij de patroonheilige van (onder andere) de smeden is. 

Eligius was befaamd goudsmid, belangrijk adviseur van de Bretonse koning, kocht slaven vrij en ijverde voor een fatsoenlijke begrafenis voor misdadigers. Hij genoot respect omdat hij leefde volgens de regels van het Ierse kloosterleven, stichtte kloosters en bouwde kerken. Hij was een geliefd bisschop van Noyon.

Volgens een legende zou hij een been van een weerspannig paard afgenomen hebben om het zo van een nieuw hoefijzer te voorzien en het daarna weer aan het paard te zetten!

In goede algemene staat. Het gezicht is heel sprekend. Merk op dat de rode kleur van de mantel en het verguldsel sterk verweerd zijn. Het beeldje is gemerkt met een letter 'S' en 'Dep' in een vierkant.
