Jouan a Paris  high-precision chemists trebuchet balance. It is contained in a box in mahogany frame rectangular and opening in guillotine  by its cut  sides

This JOUAN precision balance, under a mahogany and polygonal-shaped glass display case, rests on three adjustable screw feet and has two access doors sliding upwards. It has a metal part, the fork, which raises the beam and which can be raised or lowered using a lever placed at the bottom left. The central wheel allows you to move an opaque glass plate from left to right. Both scale pans can be removed from the brackets. 

This very sensitive scale measures to 1/100th of a mg.
