⁃ Oostende, 4 januari 1952) was een
Belgisch expressionistisch kunstschilder
en beeldhouwer. Hij wordt gezien als
belangrijkste vertegenwoordiger van
het Vlaamse expressionisme. Hij is het
meest bekend om zijn sterke en plechtige
afbeeldingen van zeelieden en vissers met
hun vrouwen.
