Bij deze draaitafel is het tandwiel dat afbreekt een bekend euvel omdat deze van een type kunststof is gemaakt dat na 40 jaar bros wordt en breekt waardoor de lade niet opent.. Dit tandwiel is in deze draaitafel vervangen voor en nieuw exemplaar waarmee de draaitafel zomaar weer 40 jaar mee kan gaan. Met het vervangen is het circuit en mechanisme dat de lade bedient tevens opnieuw afgeregeld en ingesteld. 

Het apparaat wijkt op twee punten af van de gebruikelijke platenspeler.
Philips heeft hier gekozen voor een frontlader met een elektronisch gestuurde tangentiale arm.
De naald beweegt in een rechte lijn over de plaat, in tegenstelling tot een normale arm waarbij de naald een boog aflegt over de plaat.
Hierdoor is de fouthoek (dat is de afwijking t.o.v. de hoek waaronder de groef is gesneden) zeer gering, waardoor de vervorming van het geluid t.g.v. de fouthoek minimaal is.
De bediening gaat via tiptoetsen op het front.
Geheel links de Aan/uit schakelaar, de Eject, Play, Left-Right, Speed en Repeat toets.
Met de Left-Right toetsen kan de arm langzaam of snel naar het gewenste startpunt op de plaat worden bewogen (Cue functie).
Een en ander wordt via een microprocessor bestuurd.

Wordt zorgvuldg verpakt en verzekerd verzonden. Ophalen is zeker ook mogelijk.

With this turntable, the gear that tends to break is a known issue because it’s made of a type of plastic that becomes brittle after 40 years, causing the drawer not to open. In this turntable, the gear has been replaced with a new one, ensuring it can last another 40 years. During the replacement, the circuit and mechanism controlling the drawer were also readjusted and set.

This device deviates from the usual record player in two ways:

Philips opted for a front-loading design with an electronically controlled tangential arm.
The needle moves in a straight line across the record, unlike a normal arm that follows a curved path. As a result, the tracking error angle (the deviation from the groove-cutting angle) is minimal, reducing sound distortion due to tracking error. The controls are via touch buttons on the front panel. On the far left, you’ll find the power switch, Eject, Play, Left-Right, Speed, and Repeat buttons. The Left-Right buttons allow you to move the arm slowly or quickly to the desired starting point on the record (Cue function). All of this is managed by a microprocessor.
