STORIA/PANORAMICA
La Ford Escort è un'autovettura di classe media prodotta in 4 serie dalla casa automobilistica statunitense Ford tra il 1968 e il 2000. Nel 1986 un profondo restyling diede origine alla "Escort Mk3B". A cambiare furono numerose parti, come il frontale, completamente ridisegnato, più morbido e affusolato, i paraurti integrati nella carrozzeria, i gruppi ottici posteriori (ampliati) e gli interni (completamente ridisegnati, con nuova plancia, sedili, volante, nuovi pannelli porta e rivestimento del padiglione). Il rinnovamento coinvolse anche Cabriolet che dal 1987 fu disponibile in versione 1.4 Ghia.

ESTERNO
La verniciatura è del colore Rosso originale di fabbrica, non è mai stata riverniciata e si presenta con normali segni di uso e del tempo, tuttavia una lucidatura è stata appena completata e l'auto è presentabile. Un test spessimetro non ha evidenziato incidenti.

Anche il sottoscocca è completamente originale e generalmente solido, senza segni di incidenti.


INTERNO
L'interno è completamente originale di fabbrica, in generali buone condizioni. I pannelli porta e il cruscotto sono originali, come tutto l'interno. Alcuni normali segni di utilizzo e usura sono presenti sui poggiabraccio principalmente, tuttavia la cappotta originale in vinile si apre e chiude agilmente e tiene fuori l'acqua e il cruscotto è in buone condizioni, come i sedili.


MECCANICA
Meccanicamente l'auto ha il motore originale con sigla e seriale corrispondente al numero di telaio come dalla carta di circolazione. Il motore si accende subito e l'auto è guidabile su area privata, tuttavia non è stata utilizzata per alcuni anni e l'ultimo controllo tecnico è scaduto, una normale manutenzione è suggerita prima dell'utilizzo. 

Queste Cabriolet in versione "Ghia" erano molto costose all'epoca e sono vetture affidabili per l'estate e
per l'utilizzo anche giornaliero, con un motore utilizzabile e consumi contenuti
