Birds by André Kertész, first edition paperback, Mayflower Books, New York, 1979, 64 pages.
Description from the seller
THIS IS THE LAST EXCLUSIVE PHOTOBOOK AUCTION by 5Uhr30.com in 2025 -
with more than 100 great lots from my personal collection and from recent acquisitions.
FANTASTIC EARLY WORK by genious Hungarian photographer André Kertész (1894-1985) with "Birds" as overarching theme.
With his very personal images André Kertész skillfully succeeded in capturing the fleeting, emotional moments in his environment. His works had a pronounced influence on artistic photography in the mid-twentieth century and on artists such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, and Brassaï. Three important periods mark his oeuvre: Budapest (1914-25), Paris (1925-36), and New York (1936-85).
Like always 5Uhr30.com guarantees detailed and accurate descriptions, 100% transport protection, 100% transport insurance, and of course, combined shipping - worldwide.
