A pair of Artemide Icaro wall lights. The Icaro wall light was designed by Carlo Forcolini for the Italian lighting company Artemide and made in Milan. It was in production between 1980 -1989.



Carlo Forcolini started his career as a designer in 1970.  After a short-term collaboration with the Castiglioni brothers’ firm and a long-term association with Vico Magistretti, he worked as a product designer for Alias, Amar collezioni, Artemide, Caimi, Cassina, De Padova, Futura, Gervasoni, Luceplan, Merotto Milani, Nemo, OY light, Pomellato, Valenti, Zumbtobel.
The lights both work fine and there is a small chip to the glass in a hidden part that is hard to see when dismantled but when assembled and on the wall it is impossible to see. The second has a visible chip to the to edge. There are a few specks of paint to the wall edges.


Since his products were first selected by Gio Ponti for Domus in 1971, his projects have been featured in International magazines and publications.


The body is in metallic grey painted metal and a perforated metal screen guards the light source. The diffuser consists of a clear crystal triangle that helps spread the light.  Width: 170mm - Depth: 275mm - Height: 255mm.
