- Pablo Picasso was a Spanish painter, sculptor, and one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. Born in 1881 in Málaga, Spain, he demonstrated artistic talent from a young age, studying art in Barcelona and Madrid. Picasso’s career spanned multiple periods, each marked by distinct styles, including his Blue Period, Rose Period, and the invention of Cubism, which he developed alongside Georges Braque.
