The Glenmorangie Tale Of Cake was born from the memories of Whisky Creation Director Dr Bill Lumsden. From the memories of his daughter making pineapple cake for his birthday to cooking with his grandmother in her kitchen, Dr Bill set out to create a whisky to bring the magic of a cake moment to life in his favourite drink. The Glenmorganie Tale of Cake is therefore a whisky that is initially matured in bourbon casks and finished in Tokaji dessert wine casks.

The nose brings out classic Glenmorangie notes. Initially, notes of orchard fruit, honey and creamy vanilla come to life, followed by chocolate, crème brûlèe with hints of elderflower and a range of fruity elements amongst others. The palate of the Tale of Cake is complex, sharp with some light tannic wood notes cutting through the flint-like minerality notes, as well as hints of peaches, orange chocolate, apricot croissants and vanilla.
