Bugatti 16C Galibier concept model at 1:8 scale 1/1 original signed by head of interior Design. A unicorn! among the model cars and enthusiasts, a real piece of history, this model was used in the design department 

Introduced in 2009, the Bugatti 16C Galibier Concept is a rare creation by the French marque – so rare that it didn't reach production because the executives at the VW Group didn't like the design. This scale model of the four-door Bugatti was an approval prototype for a batch of just 16 pieces that all went to Bugatti and its design team.

The Amalgam Bugatti Galibier 1:8 model is a highly detailed replica of the Bugatti Galibier, a luxury sedan from the prestigious car manufacturer Bugatti. This model is crafted with a high level of precision and attention to detail, making it a valuable collectible for car enthusiasts and model builders.


HOW THE MODELS ARE CREATED

The patterns are created using original CAD from the manufacturer, or extraordinarily accurate digital scans and hundreds of photographs of an original classic car.
The patterns are used to create silicon rubber moulds that capture every detail.
Prototyping resin is used to cast the parts from the silicon moulds.  Around 20 to 30 parts can be cast from each mould and then a new one must be made.
Each model is built from thousands of parts: castings, photo-etchings and CNC machined metal components.  
Genuine car paints and manufacturer or archive colour references are used to spray the bodywork.
It takes between 2,500 and 4,500 hours to develop the tooling for each model.
It takes between 250 and 450 hours to cast, fit, fettle, paint and build each model.

As for the production numbers, Amalgam typically produces a limited number of each model, but specific figures may vary. For the Bugatti Galibier, there may only be a few units made, emphasizing its exclusivity.  This is the only one in full silver.
