Who Created the Negroni Drink?

The Negroni was created in 1919 by Count Camillo Negroni in Florence, Italy. He requested a stronger version of the Americano cocktail by replacing soda water with gin. Bartender Fosco Scarselli crafted the first Negroni, adding an orange garnish instead of lemon to mark the difference.
