Description: Golden hour in the harbor of Cefalù, taken in October 2023, captures a serene moment as the sun sets over the Sicilian coast. The soft, warm light washes over the ancient stone buildings and the calm waters of the harbor, casting a golden glow across the scene.

Artist Biography: Alexis Doyle is a travel photographer based in Michigan, USA, though she often finds herself elsewhere. Her introduction to photography began with a simple desire to vividly capture moments from her life and preserve clear memories to look back on - how the light fell, unique features like doors or textiles, and fleeting instances that made a particular moment special to her. This initial motivation remains a central part of her work.
Her current approach to photography revolves around being observant and grateful for her surroundings. She focuses on the details and differences that make each place unique, striving to capture real-time moments that remind her why she feels so fortunate to be where she is. When she’s out shooting, Alexis aims to be fully present and appreciative of the beauty around her, translating those feelings into her photographs.
Through her lens, she hopes to share the sense of wonder and admiration she has for the world, using photography to help others see its magnificence the way she does.
