A selection of hard to find older vintages of Domaine Henry Gouges in the vintages 2006, '09 and '10.

Excellent fill levels and fully intact capsules. Virtually no damage to the labels. Wines came directly from importer at release and went straight to the cellar (near perfect conditions) and have always remained there.

Located exclusively in Nuits Saint Georges at the heart of the Côte d’Or, the vineyard of the estate extends nowadays on nearly 14 hectares.

The estate of Henri Gouges exploits 10 parcels of AOC, a unique heritage, a living mosaic. Among these appellations are 7 Premiers Crus (1 white and 6 red - wines) and a family monopole: the Clos des Porrets Saint Georges.

In order to preserve the purity of fruit, grapes are picking by hand. With that in mind, winemaking is made with gravity and extraction through infusion.

The “décuvage”, followed by a light pressing and a sedimentation in tuns, will lead to an ageing in oak barrels during 10 to 18 months, with 10% to 30% of new barrels in a view to sublimate the terroir.

The wines of Henri Gouges are reputed fair, intense, and steady. They are nowadays fine, silky, and soft, but without forgetting their strength, and their capacity of long-keeping wines.
