De beroemde Thorens TD 166, mkII , klassieker met helder, stabiel geluid met zeer neutraal karakter. De muzikale karakteristieken zijn ongehoord goed.

De Thorens TD-166 is een snaar aangedreven platenspeler
Hij is voorzien van een oerdegelijke AC motor. 
Zeer zware kwalteit, het draaiplateau alleen weegt al ruim 2.3 kg.

Het sub chassis, bestaande uit draaiplateau en toonarm, 
is zwevend opgehangen met 3 veren, waardoor de speler minder last heeft van vibraties van de motor en van buitenaf. Dit is een van de factoren die zorgen voor het geweldige geluid waar Thorens zo bekend om is.

Zoals te zien is op de foto's is dit een erg mooi bewaard gebleven exemplaar met weinig gebruikssporen. Ook de stofkap is nog erg mooi! 
Voorzien van bijbehorend Thorens  element met goede naald.

Wordt geleverd met nieuwe aandrijfsnaar.
