Deze originele PHILIPS AUTO-MIGNON AUTO PLATENSPELER werd geintroduceerd in de late fifties/ early sixties. De Auto Mignon maakte het mogelijk om in een wagen 45 toeren plaatjes af te spelen , eenvoudig mits het toestel in te pluggen op een autoradio voorzien van een 5pin's stekker contact. (zie fotos van de plug) De zwarte draad is de massadraad. (zie foto)
(Op dat moment waren er wel alternatieven vooral in de USA, maar voor Europa was dit een nieuwigheid.

Het toestel werd door mij jaren geleden aangekocht, nadat de cassette recorder gemeengoed was geworden. .
Het toestel verkeert m.i. in een goede staat, gezien meer dan 60 jaar oud; met uiteraard enkele gebruiksporen op het omhulsel gezien de leeftijd. 
Het lukte mij spijtig genoeg niet het toestel te laten werken, aangezien men moet beschikken over de 45 toeren plaatjes én een autoradio waarop men kan inpluggen. Geen idee dus of hij al dan niet werkend is!
Ideaal dus voor OLD TIMERS!
Ik verkoop bijgevolg deze speler " voor onderdelen". 
(Ter info: Gerestaureed en nagezien worden ze verkocht voor +- 1500 euro.)
