Four-colour print enhanced with a glossy varnish

This unprecedented Validation Print was found at the bottom of an assembly workshop in the archives of a former Art printing house, preciously preserved flat and sheltered from light. Although it is old with its 22 years of age, it has remained in good condition. Some marks and traces of dirt on the back due to the printer's manipulations. On the other hand, the front is intact, in excellent condition and with an extraordinary shine.

This old print is the result of a first print limited to a few copies in different tones, the customer selected one that he approved and validated as BAT "good to shoot". It was kept by the printer and served as a colour model for machine caming during withdrawals. When everything was in accordance, the customer signed the print run which then became contractual, the customer's approval committed the printer to obtain an identical result for all the prints he had to produce.

In 1963, in New Orleans, a tram as close as possible to Joël Meyerowitz's lens, as if crossing in its frame, an almost frontal view, through which discretion is impossible, he then assumes that he is no longer an incognito photographer. He is a great follower of "perfect timing" where the shape of a shadow, the light on a building or the expression of faces know how to make the difference. He explains that his photography is not aimed at beauty but rather at the expression of an idea, a vision that places him as an artist and not a simple photographer.

"It was by working on the street for so many years that I learned to anticipate the potential that the collective energy of the street sometimes projects.
