"Nasce in provincia di Bergamo nel 1981, dopo una laurea in Economia e Amministrazione delle Imprese, decide di seguire la sua grande passione per il disegno. Frequenta il corso d’illustrazione presso la Scuola d’Arte del Castello Sforzesco a Milano, a cui si aggiungono corsi e workshop di artisti internazionali come Wayne Reynolds, Stephane Martiniere, John Howe, Todd Whitlatch, Sixmorevodka e Antonio de Luca. Inizia a pubblicare a cavallo tra il 2006 e il 2007 con il primo gioco di ruolo (Methyrfall per Raven Distribution).

Docente presso la Scuola d’Arte del Castello Sforzesco di Milano – ora Scuola Superiore d’Arte Applicata SUPER – dal 2011 Fabio Porfidia  è membro fondatore dell’associazione Artèofficina. Da sempre appassionato di storia e illustrazione fantastica a tutto tondo, ha alle spalle pubblicazioni per narrativa con Panini Comics, Acheron Books, Aristea, MS Edizioni, Armando Curcio Editore, Vincent Books, Dark Zone, Acar e molti altri.

La passione per il gioco di ruolo  porta Fabio Porfidia sempre più nettamente a lavorare in questo settore: diverse sono le collaborazioni in Italia e all’estero tra cui quelle con Aces Games, Mana Project, Two Little Mice, Cubicle7, Quality Games, Acheron Games, Need Games, Serpentarium, MS Edizioni, Acchiappasogni, Triple Aces Games, Alluria Publishing, GRAmel Justyna Korys, Wyrd. Inoltre per i giochi da tavolo inanella pubblicazioni con Editrice Giochi, Giochi Uniti, Uplay.it, Giochix.it, il Barone Games, Eletria Games e Loquendo."
