The crystals, broad and well-defined, emerge like small natural architectures: clean, shiny surfaces that capture light without hesitation and refract it into a continuous series of reflections. The hue shifts from a saturated violet to lighter shades towards the edges, a sign of constant growth over time, when the basalt cavity hosted a succession of solutions rich in silica and trivalent iron. The side profile reveals the classic stratigraphy of Brazilian geodes: a sharp transition from clear quartz to the deeper violet bands, up to the outer matrix, where traces of the host rock can still be seen. It is a fragment that preserves the memory of its environment of origin, solidified between hydrothermal pulsations and long geological periods.
