Cette sculpture en bronze datant de la période Mandalay du 19e siècle, est une œuvre rare. Sa taille compacte et son poids notable témoignent de la qualité supérieure du bronze utilisé et de la finesse du travail artisanal. Représentant un moine ou un adorant, possiblement l'un des disciples emblématiques du Bouddha, tels que Moggallana ou Sariputta, cette statue incarne l'esprit du bouddhisme birman de l'époque.

L'objet est remarquablement bien conservé, avec sa patine d'origine intacte. L'adorant tient entre ses mains un bougeoir.
