Vitra Alcove sofa. Designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec in 2006, already a contemporary classic.

This sofa pursued the idea 'room in a room', the idea of mobile micro-architectural in a space. The side and back panels of the Alcove Lowback Sofa are padded and covered with wool to offer effective sound absorption, a casual appearance and inviting comfort. With these characteristics, Alcove is perfectly timed for contemporary offices concepts, but works as well as a cozy sofa for domestic use, with the addition of many cushions to build up a resting position to oneself.

This is the 2-seater lowback version, in the 'Lounge' cushion configuration, with two extra smaller pillows. Upholstered in beautiful Laser 'green grass' fabric, chromed steel tube structure. Vitra production from 2009, this is an early example.

This version currently retails over 10.000€ depending on the country.

The sofa is excellent condition overall with no appreciable traces of wear. It has been professionally cleaned prior to this auction and unused since. A stunning piece in optimal condition.
