Sony DD-100 Boodo Khan, 1st owner, Collectors item!

This is the very rare Sony DD-100 Boodo Khan Walkman in excellent and restored Condition. The Boodo Khan is one of the most famous models of the whole walkman range. It was also one of the firsts models to include bass amplification, and the first one to have a dynamic one.
I’m the first owner of this iconic Sony DD-100, better known as the legendary Boodo Khan. This walkman is a true collector’s item, featuring a disc drive capstan servo, Dolby B NR, and its unique switchable loudness circuit, which enhances the extremes of the audio frequency range, delivering a more lifelike sound at low listening levels.

It was also the first Walkman ever to be sold with an oversized headphone, designed for the ultimate personal listening experience.

The Walkman comes with a Sony DR-S3 headset, which is identical to the original Boodo Khan headphones (except for the logo). This set is also in great condition.
. Also including a 90 Degree 1/8 to 1/4 Stereo Adapter Cable, TRS 90 Degree 3.5mm Male to 6.35mm Female Stereo Audio Adapter.

Condition & Restoration
This rare Walkman is in excellent condition, with only minimal signs of use and a small crack in the display window.
It has recently undergone a full professional restoration by a Sony Walkman specialist, including a complete teardown, cleaning, recalibration, and replacement of necessary components. See photos for details.

Details of the Professional Service (December 2024):
. Fully disassembled
. All mechanical parts cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner
. Center gear replaced with an upgraded FixYourAudio version
. Capstan rubber ring replaced (previous one had a dent causing wow & flutter)
. Reassembled with new oil and grease where needed
. Playback speed calibrated with a 3000Hz calibration tape
. Playback head demagnetized
. Azimuth alignment adjusted using a 10kHz full-track calibration tape and oscilloscope
. Volume knob & switches cleaned with a professional cleaning spray
. Pinch roller and playback head deep cleaned with 99.9% alcohol
. Battery compartment ribbon replaced (original one was missing)
. Housing fitted with new black screws where needed
. Wow & Flutter measured: 0.087% WRMS
