Carrosserie & lakwerk:

Het fotoalbum wat voorbijkomt tussen de foto’s geeft al een idee van de auto. Hij is namelijk volledig gerestaureerd voor een aantal jaren geleden. Dit kan natuurlijk “quick and dirty” of met rust en tijd. Aan deze TR4a kan je terug zien dat er bijzonder veel tijd gemaakt is voor de restauratie. Want de carrosserie is erg gaaf; recht, mooie en fijne naden, bouten en rubbers waar deze horen te zitten en haast overal nog originele puntlasjes die zichtbaar zijn. 

Ook de bodem is erg gaaf. De lak is mooi vol van kleur en bijna overal nog erg mooi, maat een goede polijst-beurt zal hem zeker naar het volgende niveau helpen. Vlakbij de kofferbak zijn trouwens wat belletjes in de lak ontstaan, dit is een punt van aandacht voor de purist. Een detail op de verder gave carrosserie. Ook de soft top is nog erg mooi en past goed bij de rest van de conditie van de auto.    


Technisch:

Starten en lopen, de motor slaat haast direct aan en geeft een bijzonder sterk en pittig vermogen  Het geluid wat de Triumph produceert is erg gaaf en precies zoals tel verwachten bij het zien van de dubbele pijp. Verdere zaken als de remmen en banden zijn goed in orde. Een heerlijke auto om direct  in te stappen en te gaan rijden.    

Interieur:

Dat ziet er nog erg mooi uit, met wat kleine ouderdomssporen hier en daar. De klassieke sfeer is perfect gemaakt door het mooie houten Nardi stuurt, wat mooi staat op het nog erg mooie houten dashboard. De stoelen zitten goed, en de stoffen kap werkt makkelijk.

Het fotomapje is bewaard gebleven waar een indruk instaat van de restauratie. Mocht de auto buiten Nederland gekocht worden kunnen we helpen bij eventuele exportdocumenten of een tijdelijk kenteken met bijbehorende verzekering.
