A very nice Swedish chest, most likely from the 18th Century. Later decor from 1897.

The chest is a very nice example of rural craftmanship. Everything is hand crafted. Even the nails used. It will have taken someone a very long time to make this chest. It was most likely made to give to a couple at their wedding, and it was most likely reused as this type of gift when the new decor was painted in 1897.
