Biographie : Robert Savary est un peintre et graveur français, né le 20 avril 1920 à Paris, et mort le 28 mai 2000 au Petit-Quevilly.
Artiste figuratif, Robert Savary fait partie de la Nouvelle École de Paris. Il est l'élève de Maurice Brianchon à l'École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris, et obtient le prix de la Casa de Velázquez en 1948.
Il obtient le prix de Rome en peinture de 1950. Il enseigne à partir de 1957 à l'école régionale des beaux-arts de Rouen (dont il devient le directeur honoraire) tout en vivant à Paris et en passant ses étés à Collioure. Il est nommé peintre de la Marine en 1987. Il compte René Aberlenc, Paul Collomb et Paul Guiramand parmi ses proches amis.
Pendant plus de quarante ans, il fait partie du groupe d'exposants invités par Maurice Boitel au Salon Comparaisons à Paris.
