Terre Arse grape variety: Grillo with sparse bunches.
First year of Terre Arse production: 1981 harvest in its current guise, a graphic evolution of the ancient Marsala Vergine Florio wine.
Terre Arse production area_ Marsala Terre Arse wine is produced in the Contrade di Birgi and Spagnola, on the coastal strip north of Marsala. The area is characterized by arid, not very fertile soils of siliceous-calcareous origin.
Terre Arse harvest: Manual, at advanced ripening, in the last week of September.
Marsala Terre Arse wine vinification: Pressing of grapes with a high sugar content so as to pass the precious substances contained in the skins to the must. Fermentation at a controlled temperature and preparation of the tanning with the addition, to the wine obtained, of only the wine distillate, according to the tradition of Marsala Vergine.
Maturation and refinement of Terre Arse: At least 8 years in ancient 1,800-liter oak barrels.
For refinement, the Marsala Terre Arse wine spends at least 6 months in the bottle.

Tasting: The color of the Marsala Terre Arse wine is gold, with golden reflections.
The aroma is of great finesse, with a hint of bitter almonds and burnt honey.
The flavor is dry, exceptionally harmonious, with an aristocratic vanilla and licorice root base.

Terre Arse has an alcohol content of 19% vol.
The sugar residue is a few grams per liter.
The quantity produced is 25,000 750 ml bottles.
Terre Arse should be served at 8° - 10° C.

Food pairings for Terre Arse:
Terre Arse is a refined and eclectic Marsala wine; excellent as an aperitif or paired with smoked fish and medium-flavored hard cheeses.
Terre Arse is a great meditation wine.

Storage method for Terre Arse:
In a cool environment (13°-15° C), not humid and away from light.
Marsala Terre Arse wine, if stored in suitable cellars, has virtually no storage limits.
