Monumental pair of Neo-Gothic church candlesticks, cast in solid bronze and dating from the 19th century.
The candlesticks feature finely cast openwork crown-shaped candle holders, richly modelled foliate capitals and an architectural shaft resting on a heavy circular base.
They retain a beautiful dark original patina and show normal signs of age and use consistent with the period. Originally made for ecclesiastical use in a church or chapel. Condition is good to very good, with no breaks or restorations observed.
