Kiyomaro Wake was an aristocrat of the late Nara and early Heian periods.
The bill was issued after the Great Kanto Earthquake, a major disaster.

This design was approved by the American “GHQ” that ruled Japan. We have the impression that it looks somewhat like an American banknote.

Unique Objects

Occasionally, two different bidders may show up in the bidding history with the same bid amount. This occurs when one user's bid is exactly the same as an automatic (maximum) bid placed by another user earlier. Since the auto-bid was placed first, this takes preference.
