A fine steel and 18k white gold Rolex men's wristwatch with automatic winding, date and rare Tropical dial, model Oyster Perpetual Datejust, ref. 16234.

A regular Datejust 16234 has an 18k white gold fluted bezel and 18k white gold- and steel bracelet. This adds an extra shiny style to the case and bracelet. 
This particular 16234 however is on another level, thanks to the fact that the original silver dial has turned "tropical". The even light salmon /honey colored dial is stunning and really make this watch unique !
Tropical dial Rolex watches fetch up to 3 times the normal value because they are considered to be a factory "misprint". (The internet website of Bob's watches has lots of info on tropical dails).

Offered with Rolex double boxes, the booklet "Your Rolex Oyster" (in French), the Rolex chronometer booklet, Rolex tag and 2 x Rolex 18k/steel spare links.  The cushion cover of the innerbox is a later replacement.
The watch is numbered between the lugs with "16234" and "X574100", so this Rolex dates from 1991.
On 18k white gold and steel Rolex signed and numbered bracelet for wrists up to 18cm and the 2 spare links provide an additional 1,5 cm of wrist-size. (Measured for gentle fit, as it should for this type of bracelet).

The steel case with 18k white gold fluted bezel measures 36mm, excluding the signed 18k gold crown. Crown with screwdown. See detail photo's.
The formerly silver sunburst dial now with a even very light salmon/honey color. Date at 3 with quickset.
Rolex signed and fully serviced automatic movement, cal. 3135 with chronometer certification. See detail photo's and photo on movement performance.
The 18k gold and steel bracelet has links with screws at the side that can be removed or added. Size of the bracelet can also be changed by resetting the pinhole in the Rolex buckle, making this watch suitable for wrists between 16cm up to max. 19,5cm when the spare links are used.
The Rolex will be well packed and shipped insured with track and trace with DHL Express or Fedex value transport, so delivered to you 3 – 4 days after you have payed to Catawiki.
